Terms of Service
These terms cover the Discord bot operated by Rush Hour Roleplay (“we”, “us”) for use exclusively within the Rush Hour Roleplay Discord servers.
Private bot
Built for the Rush Hour Roleplay servers only. It cannot be added anywhere else.
Tickets are recorded
Everything said in a ticket channel is archived as a transcript on closure.
Appeals via ticket
Automod can act on its own. If it got it wrong, open a ticket and staff will review.
Provided as-is
Free and volunteer-run, with no uptime or data-retention guarantee.
Agreement to these terms
What you are agreeing to, and who these terms apply to.
These terms govern your use of the Rush Hour Roleplay Discord bot (“the bot”), operated by the Rush Hour Roleplay staff team. By interacting with the bot — opening a ticket, submitting an application, running a command, or otherwise triggering one of its systems — you agree to them.
- The bot is private. It runs only inside the official Rush Hour Roleplay Discord servers and is not available to be added elsewhere.
- You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement for your country and comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- These terms sit alongside our server rules. Breaking the server rules is also a breach of these terms.
What the bot does
The four systems the bot runs inside our servers, and who configures them.
Support tickets
Creates a private channel for you and the relevant support roles, then archives a transcript when the ticket is closed.
Whitelist applications
Collects your answers through a form, routes them to staff for review, and assigns the whitelist role on approval.
Streamer integration
Tracks linked Twitch, Kick, and YouTube channels and posts go-live notifications with a temporary live role.
Moderation & logging
Runs staff commands, automated word filtering and spam protection, and writes event logs to staff channels.
Configuration is handled by server administrators through a private dashboard secured with Discord OAuth. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time as the community’s needs change.
Acceptable use
What you agree not to do with the bot.
Use the bot for what it is there for. In particular, you agree not to:
- Open tickets for spam, trolling, or harassment, or use a ticket channel to abuse staff.
- Submit false, impersonated, or copied information in a whitelist application.
- Attempt to evade automod, timeouts, or bans — including through alternate accounts, character substitution, or deleting and reposting.
- Spam or automate bot commands, or deliberately attempt to overload, crash, or rate-limit the bot.
- Attempt to access the dashboard, database, or bot API without authorisation, or probe them for vulnerabilities.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the bot or its code.
- Impersonate staff, or present a bot response as an official decision when it is not.
Tickets & transcripts
What happens to what you say once a ticket channel is open.
Opening a ticket creates a private channel visible to you and the relevant support roles. Every message sent in that channel is recorded and exported as an HTML transcript when the ticket is closed.
- Transcripts are kept as the record for ban appeals and staff conduct reviews.
- A ticket may include a private staff thread you cannot see, used for internal notes and evidence.
- Do not post payment details, passwords, or personal information you would not want recorded in a transcript.
- Staff may claim, rename, transfer, or close a ticket, including tickets that are inactive or opened in bad faith.
Whitelist applications
How applications are handled, and what approval does and does not mean.
Applications are reviewed by staff. Submitting one does not guarantee acceptance, and we are not obliged to explain a decision.
- Your answers must be your own and truthful. Applications found to be copied or misleading may be denied outright.
- Whitelist access is a privilege, not a purchase, and may be revoked at any time for rule breaches.
- Re-applying after a denial is subject to any cooldown staff apply.
- Supporter status may prioritise review of a pending application; it does not guarantee approval.
Moderation & enforcement
How the bot enforces our rules, and what to do when it gets something wrong.
The bot carries out moderation on behalf of the staff team: warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans, message deletion, and automated content filtering.
- Some actions are fully automated. Automod may delete a message, warn you, or time you out without a human reviewing it first.
- Automated actions can be mistaken. If one was wrong, open a ticket and staff will review it.
- Sanctions are recorded, including the reason, and are taken into account in future decisions.
- Final decisions rest with server administration, whose interpretation of the rules is definitive.
Streamer integration
For community members who link a streaming channel to the bot.
Linking a Twitch, Kick, or YouTube channel is entirely voluntary. Once linked, the bot checks that platform’s official public API to detect when you go live.
- Going live posts a public notification in our servers and grants a temporary live role, which is removed when your stream ends.
- You are responsible for what you stream. Streams that break our rules or bring the community into disrepute may be unlinked without notice.
- Your use of Twitch, Kick, or YouTube is governed by those platforms’ own terms — we do not control them.
- Leaving the Discord server removes you from the tracked streamer list automatically.
Availability & disclaimers
What we do — and do not — promise about the bot working.
The bot is provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge, by a volunteer community team.
- We do not guarantee uptime, delivery of notifications, or that any feature will keep working.
- Features may be changed, disabled, or removed at any time without notice.
- Data loss can happen. Transcripts, application records, and logs are not a guaranteed archive — keep your own copy of anything you need.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the bot.
Third-party services
The platforms the bot depends on, and who we are not affiliated with.
- Discord — the platform the bot runs on. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord’s own terms.
- Twitch, Kick, and YouTube — queried through their official public APIs for live status only.
- Rush Hour Roleplay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc., Twitch, Kick, or YouTube.
We are not responsible for the availability or content of any third-party platform the bot connects to.
Privacy
A short summary — the full detail lives in the privacy policy.
The bot stores Discord identifiers, ticket messages, application answers, moderation records, and voluntarily linked streamer usernames in a privately hosted database. Nothing is sold, shared with third parties, or used to train machine learning or AI models.

We may update these terms as the bot changes. The last updated date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
- Material changes will be announced in the Rush Hour Roleplay Discord.
- Continuing to use the bot after a change means you accept the updated terms.
- We may suspend or withdraw your access to any bot system, or to our servers, at any time — in particular for a breach of these terms or the server rules.
- Our right to retain moderation records for community safety survives you leaving the server.
